Our Approach
Custom Designed Programmes
Every company has different needs so every programme developed
by Spotcheck is unique. We work with each individual client to
agree objectives, shopper guidelines, reporting arrangements and
timeframes. Either starting from a template form or creating a
completely new form we produce a customised report questionnaire
to accurately reflect the standards to be measured.
Implementing the Programme
Spotcheck maintain a base of current mystery shoppers throughout
Ireland form a variety of different backgrounds. A "customer type"
is ascertained for each visit and mystery shoppers are allocated
to particular assignments based on e.g. age, sex and background.
We choose qualified shoppers near your locations. Mystery shopping
visits can take place as frequently as you wish, e.g. monthly,
quarterly or bi-annually.
Shopper Preparation
For each visit the mystery shopper is fully briefed and receives
a detailed "Assignment Brief" and the report questionnaire, including
any special requests regarding times and dates. This ensures consistency
and objectivity and that the shopper has a thorough understanding
of the assignment.
The 'Shop'
A mystery shopper poses as an ordinary customer and undertakes
the same type of activity as any regular customer and in the same
type of circumstances. The mystery shopper pays careful attention
to every detail of the visit, from the cleanliness of the premises
to the friendliness of the employees, their sales ability and
their product knowledge.
The Mystery Shopping Report
Within twenty four hours of the visit the mystery shopper will
complete the report and return to Spotcheck, usually online. The
report will be a mixture of answers to factual questions and comments.
Each report is scrutinized for accuracy, consistency and detail
by our Quality Assurance team. Reports are transmitted electronically
to the client, along with quantitative analysis, if desired.
Follow Up
We make a point of meeting all clients on a regular basis to
review reports and update requirements
